Run. Hope. Work

Helping DC's Youth

Run Hope Work (RHW) was founded in 2014 to provide a pathway out of financial poverty and reduce post-traumatic stress in high-risk youth populations. The intervention was designed to holistically reduce the number of unemployed young adult DC residents by providing employable skills training and certification.

RHW develops positive character attributes, provides construction skills training and certification, provides workforce readiness training, provides physical fitness training, and post traumatic meditation therapy. Clients are matched with a professional mentor that spends 1-2 hours per week running, working out, and providing crucial business and life guidance. Clients spend 6 months in-training and upon program completion receive trade certification, employment placement, and business development support.
